A data consultancy for operations, based in Auckland and built the other way round from a large firm: a senior lead on every project, the team shaped to the job, and no pyramid of layers you pay for.
What we do

Confidirect specialises in three things: the data pipelines and automation that move numbers without anyone typing them in, the forecasting and capacity planning an operation plans against, and the reporting leadership reads. Around those sit advisory on a standing basis and a senior read of generated code, for when the job needs more.
Work is sold as fixed-scope builds with a written scope and a handover, or as retained advisory on a standing basis. Every engagement runs the same four steps, in the same order, and ends with your team owning the result.

No process depends on one person.
A process that depends on one person is a risk with a name. We build so it does not.

Every number ships with its range.
A number without an interval is a guess in a suit. Every forecast carries its assumptions and its interval.

Reconciled before cut-over.
Old and new run side by side, and every difference is explained before anything is switched off.

Generated code gets a senior read.
Most of it is fine. The part that is not will cost a decision, so someone senior reads it before it reaches one.

Handover is the deliverable.
If it needs us to run, it is not finished.
Jesse founded Confidirect after five years inside a large government organisation in New Zealand, building the data infrastructure that a large operational function relied on: automated forecasting pipelines that replaced manual refreshes and re-keying, more than fifty dashboards shipped into production and relied on week to week, and the demand, capacity and FTE models those pipelines fed, covering more than three thousand people. He leads every Confidirect engagement today.
